Proses Penempelan & PMR

Perkembangan Lengkap Embrio Dalam Tempoh 50 Hari
Kelahiran Bayi

GROWING OLDER IS MANDATORY. GROWING UP IS OPTIONAL

The first day of school our professor introduced himself and challenged us to get to know someone we didn't already know. I stood up to look around when a gentle hand touched my shoulder.

I turned around to find a wrinkled, little old lady ...beaming up at me with a smile that lit up her entire being..

She said, 'Hi handsome. My name is Rose. I'm eighty-seven years old. Can I give you a hug?'

I laughed and enthusiastically responded, 'Of course you may!' and she gave me a giant squeeze..

'Why are you in college at such a young, innocent age?' I asked.

She jokingly replied, 'I'm here to meet a rich husband, get married, and have a couple of kids...'

'No seriously,' I asked. I was curious what may have motivated her to be taking on this challenge at her age.

'I always dreamed of having a college education and now I'm getting one!' she told me.

After class we walked to the student union building and shared a chocolate milkshake.

We became instant friends. Every day for the next three months we would leave class together and talk nonstop. I was always mesmerized listening to this 'time machine' as she shared her wisdom and experience with me..

Over the course of the year, Rose became a campus icon and she easily made friends wherever she went. She loved to dress up and she revelled in the attention bestowed upon her from the other students. She was living it up.

At the end of the semester we invited Rose to speak at our football banquet I'll never forget what she taught us. She was introduced and stepped up to the podium. As she began to deliver her prepared speech, she dropped her three by five cards on the floor.

Frustrated and a little embarrassed she leaned into the microphone and simply said, 'I'm sorry I'm so jittery. I gave up beer for Lent and this whiskey is killing me! I'll never get my speech back in order so let me just tell you what I know.'

As we laughed she cleared her throat and began, ' We do not stop playing because we are old; we grow old because we stop playing.

There are only four secrets to staying young, being happy, and achieving success. You have to laugh and find humour every day. You've got to have a dream. When you lose your dreams, you die.

We have so many people walking around who are dead and don't even know it!

There is a huge difference between growing older and growing up.

If you are nineteen years old and lie in bed for one full year and don't do one productive thing, you will turn twenty years old. If I am eighty-seven years old and stay in bed for a year and never do anything I will turn eighty-eight.

Anybody! Can grow older. That doesn't take any talent or ability. The idea is to grow up by always finding opportunity in change. Have no regrets.

The elderly usually don't have regrets for what we did, but rather for things we did not do. The only people who fear death are those with regrets..'

She concluded her speech by courageously singing 'The Rose.'

She challenged each of us to study the lyrics and live them out in our daily lives. At the year's end Rose finished the college degree she had begun all those months ago.

One week after graduation Rose died peacefully in her sleep.

Over two thousand college students attended her funeral in tribute to the wonderful woman who taught by example that it's never too late to be all you can possibly be.

When you finish reading this, please send this peaceful word of advice to your friends and family, they'll really enjoy it!

These words have been passed along in loving memory of ROSE.

REMEMBER, GROWING OLDER IS MANDATORY. GROWING UP IS OPTIONAL. We make a Living by what we get. We make a Life by what we give.

Raul Gonzalez Blanco

Raul Gonzalez Blanco made his debut before the demanding Bernabeu crowd on a cold November night, back in 1994. Sixty minutes of sheer talent and an innate sense of the game from that skinny 17-year-old were enough for us socios to see him win a penalty, assist Ivan Zamorano and send a cracking shot into the top left-hand corner. If that was not enough, his seemingly endless bag of tricks looked stunning. As though trying to hide his rojiblanco past, Raul had just single-handedly demolished Atletico de Madrid in his first match in La Castellana.

Raul was given an emotional send-off at the Bernabeu in July

Once the game was over, the general opinion among my neighbours in the hardly trendy Upper Deck was almost unanimous: the kid's a wonder, but needs to be handled with care to avoid jeopardising his future. I was shocked. Shouldn't this kid start every single match? "No way," replied Mateo, from his 20+ years of Bernabeu experience. "His body won't be able to take the punishment, or it'll end up shortening his career."

The rest, as you know, is football history. Raul went on to play 742 official matches for Real Madrid, scoring 325 goals, winning six La Liga titles, three Champions League finals - scoring in two of them - and two Intercontinental Cups, again scoring the winner in one of them.

He also earned 102 caps and scored 44 goals for the Spanish national team, although he painfully failed to lead his country to success in international tournaments. In fact, Spain's unprecedented winning streak since he was exiled makes one believe that 'The Ewing Theory', as defined by Bill Simmons and Dave Cirili, should indeed be renamed 'The Raul Theory'. Incidentally, this theory also explains the curious phenomena experienced by Valencia this season, after their two most renowned players left, captured by Phil Ball in his most recent article.

Going back to Raul, and despite his overwhelming statistics, I still believe that Mateo was right. During the latter half of his career, Raul's body started to show the effects of the excessive number of top-level matches played at such a tender age. The formerly ubiquitous forward lost the extra step that had previously ensured so many decisive goals for both club and country. From his mid-20s onwards, Raul started to live off his extraordinary sense of the game and his long top-flight experience.

The sharp decrease of his scoring in do-or-die matches was probably the most telling sign of his physical decline. The player who once relished finishing off Barcelona, Manchester United or Juventus saw his club exit the Champions League in the early knock-out stages for six consecutive years, while other Real Madrid players scored the key goals that took the club to two consecutive La Liga titles.

For the best part of his career, Raul embodied the dream of the Real Madrid fan of old: a home-grown player (at least since he was 13), who understood what the club meant to their supporters, killed himself on the pitch, led by example and always showed up for big matches. Those same socios who religiously followed the youth teams and wanted to avoid the early burn-out of a potential star had found their saviour - their new number '7'.

Raul's 15 seasons with Real Madrid span the radical transformation of the club from local, traditional and poorly managed sports entity to global marketing giant. When el siete joined the first team, you could buy a €10 ticket, jump over a couple of defective fences and sit in a €60 one. After years pulling the aforementioned trick match after match, this columnist became a socio at the beginning of 1994 just by purchasing season tickets, available at an amazingly low price. You could hardly find the official shirt anywhere in the city, let alone the country or the rest of the world. The stadium did not have a shop. The incredible collection of trophies carelessly sat in a completely inadequate space, much smaller than my tiny one-bedroom apartment. My neighbours in the stadium constantly joked about the most likely date for a real refurbishment of the Bernabeu; 2050 was the consensus.

While scoring goals and winning trophies, Raul witnessed the advent of a new era, in both the sporting and the business sectors, and couldn't prevent their subsequent mixture, or rather confusion. Zidanes and Pavones, Galacticos and other similar football philosophies had an umbilical relationship with the new, nonnegotiable marketing orientation of the club, an otherwise logical consequence of the new financial context worldwide.

You can't argue too much with the positives of this transformation: the stadium, after not one but several refurbishments, now looks stunning; the club learned how to profit from previously unexplored revenue sources; matches are systematically sold out, while you can't get season tickets unless you wait until ... yes, 2050; and Real Madrid own the most valuable European football brand, according to Brand Finance.

But obviously there's a price to pay, and regardless of other minor issues, that bill has come in the shape of a blatant loss of the values that characterised that Real Madrid club which Raul joined in 1994. Not to steal from Nick Hornby, but the fact is that the Mateos of old, who followed the youth teams and cared about the correct development of the younger players, have been replaced with less knowledgeable, edgy suits who demand that new signings make an immediate impact and can't entertain the idea of a player maturing over a period of time that might last more than two matches, let alone full seasons.

Now homegrown players are rarely promoted to the senior side, which apparently justifies the constant signing and firing of foreign players who don't have the chance to prove themselves over a reasonable period of time either.

Cristiano Ronaldo represents a new era and a new attitude at Real Madrid

GettyImages

Cristiano Ronaldo represents a new era and a new attitude at Real Madrid

As all these changes happened, Raul looked more and more like the icon of a previous era. After his move to Germany at the end of the summer, Real Madrid's No. 7 shirt had a brand new owner. CR7, an unquestionable sign of the times, has an impressive work ethic, is a global brand in himself, but spends matches frowning at team-mates who take too long to give him the ball, waving arms in disgust when his fellow forwards don't see him open or kicking the grass in frustration because the ball doesn't arrive exactly where he wants it. His impatience is a faultless reflection of the new madridistas, who demand a perfect show every single night.

Earlier this season I was watching Barcelona at my friend's place. After an impressive build-up, Messi scored with ease, which prompted my friend's six-year-old kid, already brainwashed into the new meringue way of doing things, to say: "How come we haven't bought him yet?"

And remembering about Mateo and his mates that cold night at the Bernabeu back in 1994, and comparing their views to that of my friend's son, or picturing that old, cosy, precarious stadium and looking at the current state-of-the-art version, or even taking a look at the picture of Raul tasting Champions League glory in 1998 next to a shot of CR7 after scoring at the Anoeta, I'll use a sentence from a former boss to conclude that Real Madrid are indeed moving, but they would do well to make sure it's forward.

Legend at the Bernabeu : Raul

no 7 in our programme, no 1 in our heart. gudbye n all the best to Raul.

Just two weeks after Andres Iniesta’s extra-time goal saw Spain crowned as the finest footballing nation on the planet, one of their finest ever players - Raul - ended an era at the Bernabeu.

Imagining Real Madrid without Raul is like picturing the New York skyline without the Empire State Building. The man defined the club he represented for 16 years and one of Jose Mourinho’s first challenges in Madrid will be to recapture the chunk of identity Raul (and fellow veteran Guti) took with them as the doors of the Bernabeu closed behind them for the final time.

Raul won more than he ever could have imagined with Los Blancos and still tops the all-time Champions League scoring charts with 66 goals. So it couldn’t have been easy for the Spanish icon to accept that his inevitable decline would coincide with Spain’s emergence as a superpower.

The sumptuous tiki-taka style that saw Vicente del Bosque’s side confirm their status as the world’s best, relies on a David Villa or a Fernando Torres to convert the chances Xavi and Iniesta craft from deeper areas of the pitch. But even in a system so apparently perfect, it’s difficult to imagine that Raul at his peak wouldn’t have added something extra, something different. But, of course, this is something we’ll never know.

Raul still managed an exceptional 44 goals in 102 games for Spain throughout a barren period when, despite possessing able players, they were never genuine challengers for trophies. So, it was in the Champions League and La Liga that Raul went about his business of destroying defences and beating goalkeepers. Something he achieved 323 times.

Raul once cited the predatory instincts of Gary Lineker as his inspiration and, after making his debut as a skinny 17-year-old, the Spaniard begun the work of emulating his hero. But it was against Lineker’s former side, Barcelona, in a vintage episode of the El Clasico in 1999 that Raul demonstrated his lethal presence in front of goal, creating a symbolic moment in the process.

Despite Raul’s early goal, Real Madrid were trailing 2-1 in Camp Nou. With five minutes to go, Raul collected a piercing through ball from Javier Saviola before exquisitely lifting it over the rushing ‘keeper and into the Barcelona net. The Nou Camp fell deafly silent and, after kissing his wedding ring in tribute to his wife, he suggested the Catalan fans remained quiet by running in front of the main stand with his finger on his lips.

But Raul was always respectful to friends and foes and, in his last ever Real Madrid press conference on Monday, he admitted that another Barcelona player, Pep Guardiola, was the opponent he respected the most.

“My favourite opponent was Guardiola. You tell when he was playing that he was the manager as well. I used to think how could he talk so much and play so well,” Raul said. “And it was he who gave me my assist for my first goal for Spain.”

The highs of Raul’s career in the pristine white of Real Madrid are too many to mention, but as he continues his career in a new league - most likely the Bundesliga - Los Blancos say goodbye to a true great of the modern game. Indeed one, for his prolific service for club and country, who deserves a share in the recognition his international colleagues enjoyed earlier this month in Johannesburg.

Jose Mourinho

Born: January 26, 1963
Birthplace: Setubal, Portugal
Previous Clubs: FC Porto, Uniao de Leiria, Benfica; Chelsea; Inter Milan
Honours: Champions League: 2004, 2010; UEFA Cup: 2003; English Premier League: 2005, 2006; English FA Cup: 2007; English League Cup: 2005, 2007; FA Community Shield: 2005; Portuguese Liga: 2003, 2004; Portuguese Cup: 2003; Italian Super Cup: 2008; Italian Serie A: 2009, 2010; Italian Cup 2010

Mourinho is the self-titled 'Special One' and his rise from being a mere translator to becoming one of the best managers in the world was nothing short of meteoric. He never played professionally and had held low-profile positions at Estrela Amadora and Vitoria Setubal before taking his first high-profile role in 1992 when appointed to work under Bobby Robson at Sporting Lisbon. Mourinho initially worked as a translator, but he duly became an assistant manager when Robson moved on to FC Porto and, in three years, they clinched two titles.

The Robson-Mourinho combo then moved on to Barcelona in 1996, where they won a pair of Spanish Cups (1997 and 1998) and the European Cup Winners' Cup in 1997, but Mourinho went his own way and, after a nine game reign at Benfica, he took perennial strugglers Uniao de Leiria to a fourth-place finish and a European adventure.

FC Porto took note of the young manager's talents and snapped him up after a poor start to the 2002-03 season. The side then stormed to the league title, the domestic cup and UEFA Cup final in his first season. Almost inevitably the 2003-04 season yielded more success with Porto retaining their league title but, of course, the outstanding success was their clinching of the Champions League trophy after a 3-0 victory against Monaco and Mourinho was heralded as a genius.

When Chelsea came calling in May 2004, Mourinho jumped at the chance and guided the club to their first title in 50 years, also picking up the Carling Cup trophy. However, he also had numerous run-ins with the authorities. The most high-profile case came with the Ashley Cole 'tapping-up' affair, while he accused Swedish referee Anders Frisk of bias in the Champions League - a move that saw the official retire - and his run-ins with the press provided much amusement.

Chelsea retained their Premier League title though - Mourinho's second title in two years in England - and the club set a new English record for unbeaten league matches at home in August 2007. However, the club did not begin the new season well and Mourinho left the club 'by mutual consent' in September amid rumours of a bust-up with the boardroom thought to stem from a breakdown in his relationship with skipper John Terry.

It took until June 2008 for him to get into his new role - taking over from Roberto Mancini at Serie A giants Internazionale - but immediately showed his talent. He led the side to back-to-back Serie A titles, and a few cups as well, while in 2009-10 he brought unprecedented success to the club with the Treble of league, European and domestic cup. However, when Real Madrid came calling at the end of the season, he decided to follow his dream of managing in Spain and moved to the Bernabeu before the 2010 World Cup.

Strengths: Always willing to produce a sound-bite for the thronged media men, he is a dream for the tabloids and has a silver tongue. His tactical knowledge is second to none and he is always first to defend his players. A real man-manager.

Weaknesses: Hot-headed and passionate, he suffers from red mist occasionally and his antics can detract from the football. Accused of playing defensive, dull football to grind out results.

Career high: His first Champions League with FC Porto was an incredible achievement for such a young manager, but his Treble with Inter Milan will take some beating.

Career low: Sacked by Chelsea after failing to impress in the Champions League. Numerous controversies hurt his reputation and the Anders Frisk incident won't be forgotten.

Tactics: Mourinho likes playing with three men up front, two in the wide positions and then three in central areas. Two defensive midfielders usually provide the spine, and allow one attacker to drift. Flying full backs are also asked to provide the width.

Quotes: ''Please don't call me arrogant, but I'm European champion and I think I'm a special one"- Mourinho's first press conference at Chelsea.

Trivia: Mourinho owns a pet dog called Gullit and the Portuguese was arrested and cautioned after refusing to let police take the dog into quarantine, having let it loose to escape capture.

Sajak 'Guru oh Guru' oleh SN Dato Usman Awang

Dialah pemberi paling setia
Tiap akar ilmu miliknyaPelita dan lampu segala
Untuk manusia sebelum manjadi dewasa.
Dialah ibu dialah bapa juga sahabat
Alur kesetiaan mengalirkan nasihat
Pemimpin yang ditauliahkan segala umat
Seribu tahun katanya menjadi hikmat

Jika hari ini seorang Perdana Menteri berkuasa
Jika hari ini seorang Raja menaiki takhta
Jika hari ini seorang Presiden sebuah negara
Jika hari ini seorang ulama yang mulia
Jika hari ini seorang peguam menang bicara
Jika hari ini seorang penulis terkemuka
Jika hari ini siapa saja menjadi dewasa;
Sejarahnya dimulakan oleh seorang guru biasa

Dengan lembut sabarnya mengajar tulis-baca.
Di mana-mana dia berdiri di muka muridnya
Di sebuah sekolah mewah di Ibu Kota
Di bangunan tua sekolah Hulu Terengganu
Dia adalah guru mewakili seribu buku;
Semakin terpencil duduknya di ceruk desa
Semakin bererti tugasnya kepada negara.
Jadilah apa pun pada akhir kehidupanmu, guruku
Budi yang diapungkan di dulang ilmu
Panggilan keramat "cikgu" kekal terpahat
Menjadi kenangan ke akhir hayat.
